Insane Dumbbell Chest Workout
Welcome back to Super Fast Muscle, and thanks for joining us. My name is Derek Pham, and in this vid, I'm going to go ahead and share with you guys an EXTREME Chest Workout that you can do right there at home... And it's going to PUMP UP your Chest like a set of AIRBAGS.
So when I first started working out, I didn't have a Bench Press at home. Luckily, I worked out that building the Chest, or more specifically, the Pecs, is actually really, really simple. You Bench heavy weights, and you grow a Bigger Chest. AND// You can definitely grow a Bigger Chest if you only have access to a pair of Dumbbells (DBs).
But here's the downside that I learnt much later down the track.
Your Chest muscles - along with all the other muscles on your body - adapt relatively quickly to the weights and exercises that you use. And for beginners starting out, just like when I started out, your Chest muscles can STOP growing when it becomes used to the exercises that you do. Which means you could DB Press and DB Fly until your Arms fell off... And your Chest would STILL be the SAME size. Imagine working out all the time, and not seeing any more results. This was how I felt.
What you need to know is that your Chest needs to be worked on using different techniques, exposing the Pec Muscles to different types of work, so that you can continue BOLTING ON muscle onto your Chest. Not only that, but this is also an effective way for developing those 'Striations', those lines running across your Chest for that 'Ripped' look that almost ALL guys are striving for.
Which is why I want to share with you guys - right here, right now - a simple yet advanced and highly effective workout that I used myself to help me develop and define my Pec Muscles, with the use of only DBs too. Now, I designed this workout with 1 thing in mind - and that is to expose the Chest muscles to 'Constantly Variable Stress', so that the muscles are forced to Adapt. And forced to GROW.
And so in this workout, I simply do this by alternating 1 exercise with another exercise, so effectively, doing 2 exercises... In the same Set. I've also designed for 2 unique Rounds: The first round will Flex the Pecs, then stretch them out; The second round will pump the top portion of the Pecs, then pump up the bottom portion. Have a look below for a breakdown of the Workout:
Round 1// 3 Sets
Exercise 1) CLOSE-GRIP PRESS
Exercise 2) PEC FLYS
Alternate 1 Rep of Exercise 1, with 1 Rep of Exercise 2.
Repeat for 6-8 Reps in total.
Round 2// 3 Sets
Exercise 1) INCLINE BENCH PRESS
Exercise 2) INCLINE NEUTRAL-GRIP PRESS
Alternate 1 Rep of Exercise 1, with 1 Rep of Exercise 2.
Repeat for 6-8 Reps in total.
**As you will see in the vid, for Round 2, I state to Rotate the grip mid-air at the top of the Rep. However, I also demonstrate how to Rotate at the bottom of the Rep. Please do as you see fit.
And we're done. Two Rounds, 3 sets each. I know your Pecs will be PUMPED after this Super Fast Workout. So feel free to incorporate this into your Workout routines.
